TV Tracker
The TV Time alternative

Never miss an episode again.

TV Tracker keeps every show you follow in one place, tells you when the next episode airs, and counts down to it on your Home Screen. Coming from TV Time? Your watch history comes with you.

Free for a few shows · every show from $3.99/month · iPhone, iPad and the web

The Upcoming screen: Futurama airing tonight, then It's Always Sunny, Brothers, Slow Horses and Ted Lasso later this week, each with its next episode and a countdown.

Which episode am I on? When's the next one?

If you follow more than a handful of shows across different services, keeping track is its own job. TV Tracker does it for you — one list, every show, and always the answer to what's next.

The next episode, always

Every show you track shows its next episode, when it airs and where — with a countdown to it.

A countdown on your Home Screen

The widget shows what airs soonest, and what's already waiting for you to catch up on.

Upcoming and calendar

A week of viewing in one glance: what's on tonight, this week, and later.

A reminder on the day

A notification when an episode lands — only for your shows, never for anything else.

Remembers where you are

Mark an episode, a season or a whole show watched. It picks up exactly where you left off.

Watch together

Link up with one other person to see what you're both on and the next episode neither of you has seen.

Leaving TV Time? Bring your whole history.

Years of marked episodes shouldn't disappear because you're changing apps. Your shows and every episode you watched come across — not just a list of titles.

  1. Export from TV Time

Use TV Time Out, a free open-source tool, to save your TV Time data as a file.

  2. Import it here

In TV Tracker, open Settings and choose Import from a file.

  3. Pick up where you left off

Shows are matched by TVDB id and episodes by season and number. Anything that doesn't line up is reported to you — never guessed.

Also coming from somewhere else? Trakt syncs both ways, IMDb exports bring your list and ratings, and a Netflix viewing-history export brings the shows you've watched (matched by title).

Why this exists

My husband used TV Time for years. When he went looking for something to replace it, every alternative was missing something he relied on — so I built him one.

It brought over his entire history, down to the last episode. Then it kept going: a countdown on his Home Screen, a way to see what we're both watching, and a quick way to find what else is on the networks he loves.

It's the app he wanted. Now it's yours too.

Questions

What is TV Tracker?

TV Tracker is an app for keeping track of the TV shows you watch. It shows the next episode of every show you follow and when it airs, counts down to it on your Home Screen, and remembers which episodes you have seen. It runs on iPhone, iPad and in any web browser.

Can I move my history from TV Time to TV Tracker?

Yes. Export your data with TV Time Out, a free open-source tool, then import the file in TV Tracker under Settings, Import from a file. Your shows and every episode you marked watched come across, matched by TVDB id. Anything that doesn't line up is reported to you rather than guessed.

How much does TV Tracker cost?

TV Tracker is free for a few shows you choose, and you can change which ones from time to time. To track every show, it is $3.99 a month or $35.99 a year, in US dollars, and both plans start with a 14-day free trial. Family Sharing is supported, so one subscription covers your Apple family.

Do I need a Trakt account to use TV Tracker?

No. TV Tracker works on its own: you can add shows by searching or import a file. Trakt sync is optional, and when it is on it keeps your watchlist and history in step in both directions.

Is TV Tracker available on Android?

Not as an app. TV Tracker is available on iPhone and iPad from the App Store, and the same account works in any web browser, including on Android phones.

Where does the show information come from?

Air dates, episode lists and artwork come from TVMaze. Ratings come from IMDb via OMDb.

Does TV Tracker show ads or sell my data?

No ads, and no selling your data. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.
